Jamie MacKay started Align because he wanted to love what he did for a living and knew the best way to achieve this was to build something himself. 

For more than 15 years, Align has worked with some of Canada’s most exciting and interesting companies, brands, and entrepreneurs to help them grow their businesses, achieve their goals, and realize their ambitions.   Jamie has worked as an advisor, a director, a coach, and a consultant.  He has also taken on leadership roles in client organizations when the situation required it.

Jamie combines his business skills and his passion for the arts to work with and manage the careers of a diverse group of talented artists including authors, musicians, scriptwriters, producers and podcasters.  He is working on his own book that has a 2024 target release. 

Jamie lives in the Toronto Beaches neighbourhood with his wife and two kids. They also own a hobby farm in Peterborough County and one day might actually get around to harvesting more than hay to feed the neighbour’s cattle.

Melanie Amos is an experienced, pragmatic leader and an early employee of one the world’s fastest-growing new-economy marketplaces. She has a unique ability to achieve outcomes by connecting people to process; breaking down complex business problems and driving to solution while honouring organizational dynamics and amplifying team culture.  

She's spent the last 6 years at Airbnb in various Operations roles from early days growing presence and market share in Canada, to establishing the first North America ProHost Sales Team, to her most recent position as North America Business Operations Lead focusing on Regulatory, Tax and Trust. Prior to Airbnb, she led a consulting team for Align within Blackberry, and held various account management/project management roles in the digital marketing space.  

Melanie lives in Toronto with her husband and two kids. When not working, you'll find her in the garden or in the kitchen (usually with her two tiny helpers).  As an Enneagram 2 with a love for New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc - she is in her element when she is helping or hosting. 

Erin MacKay is an experienced manager and leader, both at home and in business, with an emphasis on purpose-driven organizations and charities.  She is a strong multi-tasker, organizer and excels in financial management and engineering. 

Over the past 17 years, Erin has managed and organized the finances for Align and many of our partners and clients.  She is the former Executive Director of Enactus Canada (formerly ACE-Canada) and is currently the Chair of the Board for Friendship In Action.  The positions allow her to combine her business skills with her desire to contribute to youth-focused causes.

Erin lives in Toronto with her husband and two kids. She enjoys yoga and fitness, and natural and healthy living.  She loves to help and seems to have a knack for making life easier for those around her.
